CHI WELL POINTER / ACUPUNCTURE PENS
The CHI WELL POINTER consists of two specially designed pens with different polarities – positive and negative. Both pointers are used together, with their tips gently placed on selected points of the skin.
The underlying concept combines various components, including polarity, magnetic fields, far-infrared technology, negative ions (anions), and a specially designed lens system. The pointers require no batteries or any other external power source.
DESIGN AND PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
Lens System
The special lens system consists of two lenses. According to the underlying concept, the first lens is intended to collect and channel energy, while the second lens is designed to focus it.
FAR-INFRARED
Far-infrared is another component of the CHI WELL POINTER concept and is described by the manufacturer as part of the energetic application.
Negative Ions – Anions
According to the manufacturer, negative ions are also part of the design and operating principle of the pointers.
Magnetic Field and Polarity
The two pointers differ in their polarity – positive and negative, or north and south pole – and are used together. This difference in polarity is an essential part of the system.
HOW ARE THE CHI WELL POINTERS USED?
Both pointers are gently placed on the skin with their tips. The skin is not pierced during the application.
Depending on the application, selected areas of the body, specific areas of discomfort, acupuncture points or reactive points, as well as areas on both the right and left sides along the spine, may be included in the treatment.
During the application, individual sensations may occur, such as warmth, tingling, pulling, pricking, or a feeling of pressure. The pointers remain at each selected point until the sensation subsides or changes. They can then be applied to another point.
The exact application depends on the individual's specific concerns and the body's individually perceived response.

THE SPINE AS A GUIDE
During the application, the CHI WELL POINTERS can also be used on both the right and left sides along the spine. As a guide, different models may be used—for example, the correlation of spinal segments with body regions, nerves, meridians, or energetic systems.
Some of these correlations are based on anatomy, while others originate from traditional or complementary medicine models. They should therefore be understood and considered within their respective contexts.
THE HISTORY OF THE CHI WELL POINTER
According to information provided by the European distributor, the CHI WELL POINTER was developed in 1994 by Dr. Chi-Kyung Kim, a Korean industrial engineer.
The starting point was his desire to help his wife after she had suffered a severe stroke. Dr. Kim combined his knowledge of physics, acupuncture, and other therapeutic approaches to develop the first prototype.
As interest continued to grow, the Korean company Genesen Inc. was founded in 1996 to manufacture and distribute the CHI WELL POINTER.
The term *CHI* refers to the traditional Asian understanding of life energy. Within these concepts, systems such as meridians, nerves, or chakras are used as guides for understanding the body and its energetic relationships.
